Anita Costa is IFM’s newest Investment Director in Active Equities, having joined the Small Cap team in January. With more than 20 years’ experience working in financial markets, we asked Anita about the successful career she has built and the path that led her to IFM.

After working in London, Rose returned to her home town of Melbourne to join IFM in 2012 as Commercial Associate - Tax. Working on international transactions with investment teams, external advisors and investment partners, Rose managed and led a number of projects. In 2016, Rose moved to New York to provide tax support to IFM’s New York and London businesses, and that developed into the opportunity to build and lead a team in these regions.

Alex Joiner’s first career love was flying – the now economist made his first solo flight at just 16. “It’s a fantastic pastime but I didn’t know whether I could turn that into a career,” he says. Instead, he chose commerce at university before switching to economics, in which he added a doctorate.

Amy joined IFM Investors’ New York team in 2014 as an Investment Analyst in the Infrastructure team.
