About Michael

Michael led the transaction teams responsible for the acquisition of the Indiana Toll Road, as well as the various Conmex / OHL Mexico / OHL Concessions businesses, which have been re-branded as Aleatica. He served as the initial Chairman of both investments, responsible for implementing IFM’s acquisition business plans including recruitment of CEOs and, over time, Independent Chairs. He continues to serve on these Boards with responsibility for managing these assets, for relationship and team development activities, as well as transaction origination and execution initiatives. He represented IFM on the board of Essential Power from 2014-2015, successfully managing the turnaround of that business prior to its sale.

Michael’s career prior to IFM enabled him to develop both executive operations as well as financial capabilities. He spent a decade as the founding President of Transurban, North America. Under Michael’s leadership, Transurban developed into a leader in the North American toll road concessions business by successfully developing, constructing and establishing operations for a $3 billion portfolio of toll road concessions. Prior to Transurban, Michael spent eleven years at Credit Suisse, rising to the level of Director, Investment Banking, where he originated and executed M&A and capital raisings.
