Colonial Pipeline Company

The Colonial Pipeline is one of the largest pipeline systems for refined oil products in the U.S. It is operated by the Colonial Pipeline Company, which is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia and was founded in 1961.

Asset priorities

Every day, the Colonial Pipeline safely and efficiently delivers more than 100 million gallons of gasoline, home heating oil, aviation fuel and other refined petroleum products. Starting in Houston and terminating at the New York Harbor, the company network comprises of 5,500 miles of pipeline, most of which is underground, and aboveground storage tanks which support safe operations of the overall system. The pipeline supplies approximately 270 marketing terminals across 13 states. 

Colonial connects directly to several major airports, including Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh-Durham, Dulles, Baltimore-Washington, and Philadelphia International Airport. It also serves New York metropolitan area airports via connections with Buckeye Partners.
